What happens at your first appointment
You tell us what's bothering you
Ring 0203 950 6620 or send the form. You'll be asked what's wrong and when suits you — not for your life story. If you're nervous, say so on that first call. It gets written on your notes and it changes how the appointment is run.
We look properly
A full examination of your teeth, gums and bite, using digital X-rays and an intra-oral camera so you can see on screen exactly what we're seeing. An examination is £45, and small X-rays are £20 each.
You get the honest version
What's there, what needs doing, what can wait, and what's fine to leave alone. Where there's more than one sensible option, you'll hear all of them with the trade-offs — not just the most expensive one.
You see the cost before you commit
Treatment is priced from our published fee guide so you can think it over at home rather than deciding in the chair. Nothing gets booked in the same breath as it's suggested.
Then it's just routine
Once you're up to date, it's check-ups and hygiene visits at whatever interval your mouth actually needs — usually every six months. That's the point where dentistry stops being a big deal.

We've looked after patients in Kennington since 1999. It's a small, independent practice — not part of a chain — which is why the person who greets you tends to be the same person next time, and the dentist who examines you is the dentist who treats you.
Who will treat me?
Dr Nader Gavgani (GDC 75484) is our Principal Dentist. He qualified in Gothenburg, Sweden, has worked as a dentist in the UK since 1999, and has a particular interest in Invisalign and cosmetic smile makeovers. Dr Tayebeh Mobaleghi holds a clinical MSc in Periodontics and has carried out more than 1,000 implant procedures.
What if I'm frightened of the dentist?
Tell us when you book, before you arrive. It's one of the most common things people say on the phone, and it changes how your appointment is set up — more time, nothing done that you haven't agreed to, and a clear signal that stops everything if you need a moment.
Most nervous patients are afraid of two things: being hurt, and being judged. We use a numbing gel before any injection and give the anaesthetic time to work properly. Oral and inhalation sedation is available for anyone who needs more than that. And if you've avoided dentists for ten years, you are in very ordinary company here.

Are you an NHS or a private dentist?
Pure Elegant Smile is a private dental practice. That means longer appointments, a choice of tooth-coloured and porcelain materials, and prices published up front rather than banded.
Can I be seen the same day if I'm in pain?
Usually, yes — urgent dental care is normally provided the same day. Ring 0203 950 6620 and describe what's happening rather than using the form, and we'll advise you what to do next.
Do you treat nervous patients?
Yes, and it's one of the things we're asked about most. We numb the gum before any injection, explain each step before it happens, and stop whenever you ask. Oral and inhalation sedation is available for patients who need more support.
Do you see children?
Yes — we're a family-friendly practice and see patients of every age. Teaching children good oral hygiene early is the single best thing you can do for their adult teeth.
Do you use amalgam (silver) fillings?
No. Pure Elegant Smile is an amalgam-free practice. Every filling we place is a tooth-coloured composite, so repairs blend in with the tooth instead of showing as a dark patch.
Do you offer Invisalign, implants and teeth whitening?
Yes, all three, and all carried out here rather than referred elsewhere. Invisalign starts from £3,500, dental implants from £2,000, and our ZOOM home whitening kit is £395.
